Here’s What’s Happening:

Scientists can now manufacture human embryo clones in the research lab. They are creating these cloned humans for the sole purpose of destroying the life. They want to harvest the cloned life for stem cells and ultimately body parts.

Researchers are also manufacturing human embryos in the lab for the same purposes – solely to destroy that life and harvest stem cells and body parts!

And such barbarous practices are perfectly legal in our country!

This amounts to a new, insidious form of human slavery. And this new slavery is BIG BUSINESS -- billions of dollars will be made off of this new form of slavery. The manufacturing of human beings for research and experimentation must be stopped!

A Petition for our Common Good!

We believe this is the watershed issue for the entire human race. If we allow cloning and embryo manufacturing to continue, then a new era of human slavery will have begun! That’s why Common Good has launched this petition drive to call on leaders in BOTH the public and private sectors to stand against the new human slavery. This petition calls on political leaders in Congress to immediately ban human cloning and embryo manufacturing. It also calls on religious, business and bio-tech leaders to take a stand as well -- along with tens of thousands of citizens like you across this land.

"The Petition to Stop the New Slavery" will be delivered both to Congress and to the leaders of the cloning and embryo manufacturing movement. We have already been in contact with officials at Advanced Cell Technology (the cloning firm) and the Jones Institute (the embryo manufacturing firm) and will deliver your petitions directly to those leaders.

We must have a law to ban this new human slavery, but we must appeal to the sense of decency of our fellow man to do what is best for the common good and stop this practice regardless of the laws!
