VICTORY: "Scouts Equal Access Act" Becomes Law!
What can happen when a wild grassfire sweeps the nation!

For historical perspective on the kind of impact Grassfire supporters can have on key issues of the day, one need look no further than what has happened to the Boy Scouts of America.

On January 8th, 2002, after months of a growing grassfire of support for the Boy Scouts, President Bush signed the “Boy Scouts of America Equal Access Act” into law.

Grassfire.net supporters sent thousands of mailgrams and made tens of thousands of phone calls to the House and Senate  in a concerted effort to pass this bill, which rescued the Boy Scouts’ right to equal access to public schools for meetings and events. We believe Grassfire.net supporters made the difference, especially in the Senate where the vote was 51-49.

Then, the fight moved to Conference Committee and Grassfire.net supporters once again stepped to the plate. This time you delivered a homerun! Friends like you flooded the Committee with thousands of hand-delivered Western Union mailgrams and phone calls -- while our team hand delivered petitions to Capitol Hill!

This is what happens when Scouts supporters stand together!
