About the Petition:
The liberal media is committed to stopping the confirmation hearings of Judge Alito, and is doing everything in their power to stir the pot of controversy by misleading lawmakers and the public by distorting and twisting Alito’s opinions—all for the purpose of destroying his confirmation hearing.

To confront the media spin and compel them to report the truth without the liberal bias, Grassfire, along with our official partner in our “demand the media tell the truth” initiative, The Media Research Center has launched an emergency communication network of citizens who recognize the urgency of what is happening in our courts—and now with the Alito confirmation process. This “First Response” network would be used to quickly alert citizens to specific instances of media bias and spin concerning the Alito confirmation as it breaks.

Throughout the Alito confirmation process, Grassfire is seeking to rally 10,000 citizens who will use our “First Response” communication network, to help us expose and hold the media accountable—demanding they REPORT—not DISTORT the TRUTH!


The Petition States:

As a concerned citizen, I am outraged over the irresponsible reporting practices and procedures that are being used by the mainstream media (both print and broadcast) to spin and mislead the American people and our leaders in Congress about Judge Sam Alito, for the purpose of undermining and ultimately destroying his confirmation process. With our courts in chaos, and we need highly respected, eminently qualified men and women like Judge Alito to help restore order. I am appalled by the disrespectful efforts of the media to hijack his confirmation process, and am calling on all network news organizations to report only the truth in its most unbiased form so as not to mislead and misguide our leaders and the citizens of our nation at this critical time in our nation’s history.
