About the Petition:
In recent weeks, the liberal media have resorted to attacking Christians while giving radical Muslims a free pass. According to the liberal media elite, Christians (especially conservative Christians) pose more of a threat to our world than radical Muslims. That is why when pseudo-celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell spew their bias against religious conservatives, the liberal media elite look the other way without apology, retraction or accountability.

Grassfire.org, along with our partner in this initiative, the Media Research Center, has carefully tracked this increase in anti-Christian bias and is launching a grassroots petition to mobilize citizens who will demand that the media "Stop Bashing

Christians!” Over the next 30 days, we expect to mobilize 50,000 citizens who are offended by these attacks and the complete lack of accountability by the media. Petitions will be delivered to media outlets that express blatant anti-Christian bias and call for a retraction of such bias.
 

IMMEDIATE ACTION: On Monday, October 16, our official partner in our "Demand the Media" Tell the Truth initiative, The Media Research Center will present more than 50,000 petitions to the heads of ABC demanding an end to the hostile attacks on Christians.

The Petition States:

I am disturbed by efforts by the media to equate Christians and conservatives with radical Muslim terrorists. This reveals a blatant and dangerous bias against Christian citizens while diminishing the real threat posed by radical Islam. As a member of the Grassfire.org Alliance, I am signing this petition calling for:

  • Immediate retraction of such anti-Christian statements by members of the media
  • A formal apology from any network or station that airs such anti-Christian statements or promotes the idea of a moral equivalency between Christianity and radical Islam.
  • Accountability by other members of the media when such bias arises.
I find it terribly offensive that you would allow anyone to suggest that Christians are as dangerous at Radical Islam and am calling on the media to stop this blatant bias against Christians.
