    WHO SPONSORS THE PRAYER PLEDGE?

    The prayer pledge itself is sponsored exclusively by The Center for Christian Statesmanship.  Grassfire.net is the "engine" behind the prayer pledge.  Grassfire services are used to present the prayer pledge, collect the data, offer real feedback,  and send e-mail to prayer pledge signers.

    Grassfire.net is the breakthrough way to light a grassroots grassfire on line.  Unlike any other online petition, the system offers direct feedback to each signer.  We offer feedback letting each individual know exactly what their impact on the prayer pledge is, as well as the overall progress of the prayer pledge.






























    WHAT MAKES THE PRAYER PLEDGE WORK?


    What makes the prayer pledge work? You! We have a strict anti-spamming policy. We do not spam people to find people to sign the prayer pledge. Instead, we rely solely on the efforts of friends like you who sign the prayer pledge and then forward your "E-mail Link" to other friends. And the process repeats.





























    HOW DO I SIGN THE PRAYER PLEDGE?


    To sign the prayer pledge, simply follow the instructions on the prayer pledge web site and fill out your mailing address and e-mail address. It's that simple!




























    WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH MY PRAYER PLEDGE?


    The Center will gather your prayer pledge and send it to the President, leaders in Congress, and your state's Senators and Representatives. Our leaders will simply be informed of your name, city and state. We gather your complete address to validate your prayer pledge and allow us to direct your pledge to the appropriate individuals. Remember, your personal address information remains confidential.




























    HOW DO YOU TRACK MY "IMPACT"?


    Every time someone uses your "E-mail Link" to sign the prayer pledge, we record you as their "sponsor". That way we can tell you how many people you influenced to sign the prayer pledge!




























    I'M GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?


    If you are getting an error message at our web site, please wait a few minutes and try again. The response to this prayer pledge drive has been overwhelming, with people signing up every few seconds during peak times.

    HOW WILL YOU KEEP ME UPDATED?


    The first week, you'll receive two updates to help you get started. After that, you will receive an update about once a week that will include the latest results from the prayer pledge as well as your personal grassfire impact -- showing you how many people you have reached, how many states, and more.

    MY "FEEDBACK" REPORT IS WRONG.


    If the feedback report doesn't appear to be correct, here are a few possible reasons: 

    --you forwarded the wrong "e-mail link" message. Some folks, in their enthusiasm, have signed the prayer pledge and then forwarded the message their friend sent to them. But this sends their friend's special link on. If you did this, there is no way to "fix" the problem. However, you can give it another try and forward the link that comes with your weekly update.

    --you "cut and pasted" your link incorrectly. If you don't copy the link correctly, it will not work.

    --your friends haven't signed up yet. Sometimes it takes a few days

    --you sent it to just a few friends and none responded by signing up.

    I HAVE PROBLEMS FORWARDING THE MESSAGE?


    If you forward your "E-mail Link" and friends receive a blank message, it is likely that your web browser has different settings for "forwarding" messages. Try forward "quoted" or forward "inline" to see if it works. Or, simply copy and paste the entire "E-mail Link" message into a new e-mail.

     

     




























    HOW DO I REQUEST A NEW "    E-MAIL LINK"


    If you can find an "E-mail Link" message that you received from us, use that.

    Otherwise, simply enter the same e-mail address below that you used to sign your prayer pledge and we'll forward a new "E-mail Link" to you that you can send to your friends.

    CAN I SIGN A PRINTED VERSION AND MAIL IT TO YOU?



    We are working on developing ways to enhance our ability to gather prayer pledges. But for now, we are focusing on our breakthrough e-mail interface and database tracking system. There is no "printed" version at the current time.

     

     




























    HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THE SERVICE?


    Unsubscribing is simple. There is an "unsubscribe" link in every update message that we send to you. To unsubscribe, just click on the link.

    Alternatively, you can reply to any message that is sent to you with the word "UNSUBSCRIBE" or "REMOVE" in the subject and you will be unsubscribed.

    But please note that once you unsubscribe, we will no longer be able to send you updates on how your grassfire is doing. These updates come just once a week -- and each has a link allowing you to unsubscribe at any time.
